Every notebook or desktop or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program which interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripheral devices such as a mouse and a printer, together with any applications that are installed on your system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a server, each application runs within the parameters established by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etcetera. This is valid for both standard website scripts and server-side software such as a media server. When a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two independent Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, so you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers

We provide as many as three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs you can get and we provide all 3 instead of just one since we realize that you might want to install some software that has specific requirements regarding the Operating System it'll run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there are various software programs you may install on the hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS if you want to use one and because of this we offer several Control Panels too. If you ever decide that you want some other OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the existing one and install the one that you would like. In addition, we offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers

The dedicated server solutions that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to select from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they are also considered to be among the most dependable and secure OSs. We provide three different ones because each of them is backed by a separate community. The packages which you can add on your hosting server are different and this could matter in case you need to install some piece of software with specific requirements about the hosting environment. In this light, the internet hosting Control Panel which you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the OS that you'll pick. You can choose any of the three Operating Systems during the order process, yet if needed, we can always install the server anew with a different one upon your request. As an additional service that you could add to the package at any time, we can update your OS regularly so as to keep it as risk-free as possible.
